Forgivness is Grace

They were mostly happy years with a family in place.
When sin came a calling, and somehow she strayed.
Though it took him years to forgive what he lost,
He would find the way, at the foot of the cross,
and he said,

Let him without sin, cast the first stone. (John 8:3-11)
Let the power of Love, carry you home.
‘Cause for each of my sins with his life he would pay.
Yeah, the one thing he taught me,
was forgiveness is Grace.

It was late in the evening, when the headlights came.
And a drunken driver crossed in her lane.
In one single moment, her child was gone.
It took a greater love, to show her how to go on,
and she said

Let him without sin, cast the first stone. (John 8:3-11)
Let the power of Love, carry you home.
‘Cause for each of my sins with his life he would pay.
Yeah, the one thing he taught me,
is forgiveness is Grace.

God says forgive others, as I forgive you.
But if you won’t forgive….can he forgive you.( Matt 6:14,15)
Well I want to be forgiven; I want to be with you,
So I’ll pray for the strength, I’ll pray for your grace,
and I’ll pray for your love, to carry me through.

He was more than a boy, became a fine young man.
Never did anyone wrong, and God had this plan.
For Us children held ransom, His Son he’d exchange.
And as he died on that cross for the sins of me and you,
He said Father forgive them, they know not what they do. (Luke 23:34)

So let him without sin, cast the first stone.
Let the power of love, carry you home.
‘Cause for each of our sins, with his life he did pay.

The one thing showed me,
Through him I remember,
Yeah the one thing he taught me…
 is forgiveness is Grace.
